Freda V.
Crews, D. Min., Ph.D. is the Director/Dean of
International University for Graduate Studies School of
Christian Counseling and Spiritual Education. Dr. Crews
is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified
Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a private practice
in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She also directs Time
for Hope Ministries and hosts Time for Hope, an
internationally syndicated, faith-based mental health TV
talk show. Dr. Crews has also authored several books and
booklets related to mental health and personal spiritual
growth.
Dr. Crews
holds an M.A. in counseling from North American Baptist
Seminary, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a Doctor of
Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School,
Deerfield, Illinois, and a Ph.D. from International
University for Graduate Studies, St. Kitts-Nevis, West
Indies. Her previous academic experience includes
serving as a registrar and seminary professor..
A charter
member of the American Association of Christian
Counselors (AACC), Dr. Crews chaired the Executive Board
from 1998 to 2001 and continued to serve as a board
member until June 2003. She established and directed the
counselor care programme, and authored its column in
Christian Counseling Connection from 1996 to 2001. She
has contributed to several AACC video series and
appeared as a contributing author in its Soul Care Bible
and Competent Christian Counseling Volume 1. Dr. Crews
has taught and ministered in churches throughout the
country and served on several church staffs as Director
of Pastoral Care and Counseling. Her speaking ministry
includes lectures, video presentations, workshops,
seminars and retreats. She is currently extending her
expertise as a lecturer, with a focus on integrating
theological, clinical and ethical issues being faced
today. |
